Summer Cohesion Program

Summer Cohesion is a six-week summer, drop-in, recreational, educational and cultural enrichment program, which provides children, ages 4 through 12, with a safe, structured, and fun summer. This school based program takes place at numerous locations throughout Chemung County. Youth participate in daily activities such as arts and crafts, indoor/outdoor games, attend special performances, and travel to local libraries, parks and museums. Summer Cohesion serves over 800 children each summer.

Will operate from Tuesday, July 5th until Friday, August 12th from 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM Monday through Friday. Tentative site locations are; Broadway Elementary School, Parley Coburn Elementary School, Hendy Avenue Elementary School, Fassett Elementary School, Gardner Road Elementary School, and Ridge Road Elementary School.  In person and on-line registration begins on Monday June 6th. The program activity fee is $100 for the first child in a family and $75 for each additional child. A reduced program activity fee is available for families within 200% of the federal poverty guidelines. The reduced fee is $40 for the first child and $30 for each additional child.
